At the barcamp ‘Perspectives on Transformation’, we support each other in the search for sustainable strategies in terms of diversity, resource conservation and audience development.
Future issues will be discussed democratically and ‘Promising Practices’ will be presented by providing impulses from cultural initiatives in Cologne in order to develop new ideas together. The aim is to learn from each other in a spirit of solidarity and to unlearn the useless together.
With the topic of transformation, we are moving into a broad field:
We want to focus on social and economic justice.
We want to scrutinise whether the past should still be valid:
More productions, more projects, manifold demands, pressure to legitimise, careless handling of personal and material resources. This approach leaves little room for reflection on what fair labour structures and production conditions could look like. To remedy this, we would like to address the following questions with you:
How and where do we find space for change?
Which burning issues are relevant today in order to provide relevant impetus in the future?
How do we deal with personal and material resources in art and culture?
How can we respond to demographic change and deal with diversity and criticism of discrimination?
How can we reach our audience in the future?
How can we organise fairer work processes so that we can remain calm in times of upheaval?
What do cultural actors, cultural initiatives and institutions need today to be able to work sustainably and healthily?
The barcamp enables a deep dive into the various aspects of transformation and shows room for manoeuvre based on practical examples. The knowledge of the participants takes centre stage in order to work together on strategies.
